CFB Week 5 Bets

Given the uncertain weather conditions for a ton of games this weekend (shout-out Hurricane Ian), we’re opting to keep it short and simple this week. We’re hovering around .500 on the year so far and we’re only going to improve as we get more data on each team every week. Trust the process, take comfort in our favorite picks this week and always remember to bet smarter, not harder.

Q’s Best Bets (After Week 4: 4-5 Overall, -0.7 Units Total)

Kentucky @ Ole Miss/Michigan @ Iowa
Pick: 2 Team Parlay: Kentucky +14.5, Michigan/Iowa Total Points Under 49.5 (-110) (1 unit)

Kentucky is being slept on heading into this matchup in Oxford. Kentucky has easily the best defense that Jaxson Dart has seen all year and he honestly hasn’t looked great against the subpar teams that Ole Miss has played up to this point. I wouldn’t be surprised if Kentucky ends up winning this game outright. Will Levis is a gamer and I don’t see Kentucky’s defense allowing Ole Miss to run away with this one by more than 2 TDs. Again… I wouldn’t be surprised if Kentucky beats them in their own house. Score Prediction: Ole Miss 31 – Kentucky 24.

This Michigan/Iowa 2021 Big Ten Championship rematch game is stirring quite the hype. For whatever reason, top 25 teams haven’t fared well playing Iowa at home. Neither one of these offenses are great and both defenses are playing at very elite levels to start the season. This feels like it could end up becoming your typical sluggish Big Ten defensive drag out so I’m fading the points and siding with an inflated under. Score Prediction: Michigan 27 – Iowa 17.
