Gotta jump on any and all opportunities for my Panthers to actually succeed this season. Frank Reich & Co are out in Carolina after a brutal 1-10 start to the season and all signs point to a bounce back game. Betting on teams after the firing of their head coach has been wildly profitable over the years. Tampa’s offense has been inconsistent this year and Baker Mayfield enters this week as questionable after playing through an injury last week, the Bucs can’t run on anyone so the Panther’s woes there aren’t as impactful as usual and the Panthers could be getting a couple of key players back in Jaycee Horn and Jeremy Chinn. Bryce Young really didn’t look too bad against the Titans last week and the entire team will be motivated to prove that their level of play isn’t the sole reason for their terrible start to the season (that would be on Frank Reich). Expect a solid effort from a Panthers team currently sitting at rock bottom. Keep pounding. Score Prediction: Panthers 20 – Buccaneers 17.

Cleveland Browns @ LA Rams – Sunday, 12/3 (4:25 PM EST)
Pick: Rams -1 (-108) (1 unit)

Don’t ask me why… but this line is available at Tipico right now at an absolute steal. Every other book is listing the Rams around -3.5 so, regardless of the why, grab this -1 line at Tipico while you still can.

Stafford is starting to feel it which is bad news for Cleveland with Myles Garrett currently banged up. If you give a great QB like Stafford time in the pocket… long day for any secondary given all of the offensive weapons at his disposal. Cleveland’s QB room is in utter despair currently with DTR going down last week and Deshaun Watson already out for the season. As long as LA can somewhat contain the Browns run game and force whatever QB that starts for Cleveland to beat them through the air (sounds like it could be Joe Flacco), I love backing Stafford and the Rams surging offense to get the job done at home this weekend. Score Prediction: Rams 23 – Browns 17.

San Francisco 49ers @ Philadelphia Eagles/Cincinnati Bengals @ Jacksonville Jaguars

Wouldn’t be a SHB NFL article without at least one parlay… When will we learn?

Don’t get me wrong, I do think that the 49ers are probably the best team in the NFC currently. That said… making the Eagles 3 point dogs at home after an MVP caliber performance out of Jalen Hurts last week feels foolish. This Eagles squad might just be a team of destiny so it’s hard to focus solely on the matchup on paper. San Francisco’s pass rush should cause issues for Hurts and their run defense will most definitely be up to the task of slowing down Philly’s run game. However, Philly’s run defense should also give the Niners fits on the ground so there’s a great chance this one comes down to Hurts vs Purdy through the air. Advantage Purdy on paper given Philly’s inconsistent secondary, but advantage to Hurts playing at home and throwing to arguably the best WR tandem in football right now. Don’t feel confident enough to take the Eagles at +3 right now but love them to keep this one inside 10.5 points and make this a game. Score Prediction: 49ers 24 – Eagles 20.

This Jags’ take is pretty simple. Jacksonville has the best run defense in the NFL currently and I have zero faith in Jake Browning to lead this Bengals offense through the air. Trevor Lawrence and this Jag’s offense has been humming lately in all facets so I fully expect that momentum to keep rolling at home against a Bengals snake missing its head at the moment. Pederson keeps the boys rollin during prime time, easily covering a TD at home. Score Prediction: Jaguars 24 – Bengals 13.
